The Vought F7U Cutlass was a Cold-War era United States Navy carrier jet fighter and fighter-bomber. It had a highly unusual, dual-tailless design, allegedly based on aerodynamic data and plans captured from the German Arado company at the end of World War II. Due to its unusual design and underpowered engine, over one quarter of the 320 built were lost to accidents.
