Blueberries is a new jewelry and accessories brand, created by jewel-maker Markéta Richterová and designer Zbynek Krulich at the time of blueberry ripening in the summer of 2012. Their first collection of jewels produced by 3D print technology was presented at the Designblok’12 exhibition in Prague, Czech Republic in October 2012. The artists´ inspiration comes in particular from natural structures, both organic and inorganic. In their work, they play with light, matter, composition, scale, and geometry. The current collection is made of Nylon, the jewels being light and flexible with velvet matting. In future, jewels made of transparent acrylate, stainless steel, silver and gold will be added.
Meanwhile, Blueberries jewelry has appeared at several exhibitions and lectures (designSUPERMARKET, Design Weekend Košice, Czech Grand Design Awards exhibition, Together Again by UNOSTO, Pecha Kucha Night).
