Product Description
These are the wagons used for transporting large steel coils on broad gauge steel trains from Melbourne to the Western Port Steelworks at Hastings, Victoria, Australia. They are not used for any other purpose.
Set of 4. There is room for 2mm shot to be put into the centre spine of the wagon for weight with low centre of gravity for better running. The steel coils available at this shop are hollow for additional weight if desired but I have found that unnecessary.
WARNINGS:
There is fine detail on this model. Frosted detail plastic is quite brittle so detail such as shunter steps can easily break off.
The skeletal body is quite thin and sometimes warps during manufacture.
