British Centurion ARV Mk. 1 1/285 6mm

The Centurion Mk. 1 Recovery Vehicle was introduced shortly after beginning of the Korean War. The original Turrets of older standard MBTs are removed and a simple welded superstructure was added, housing the winch powered by an additional Bedford engine. They saw service until the early 1960´s. They are replaced by the specially designed Mk. 2 Centurion ARV´s. Set of 2, one with sideskirts, one without.

Das Centurion ARV MK. 1 (Amoured Recovery Vehicle = gepanzertes Bergefahrzeug) wurde kurz nach Beginn des Koreakrieges eingeführt. Hierzu wurden die Türme von älteren Kampfpanzern entfernt und durch einen geschweißten Aufbau ersetzt, welche die durch einen zusätzlichen Bedford Motor angetriebene Winde enthielt. In den frühen 1960 Jahren wurden die Mk. 1 durch die speziell entwickelte Mk. 2 Variante des Centurion ARV ersetzt. 2er Satz. 1 x mit Schürzen, 1 x ohne.
