Geometry:
The Star of The Seven puzzle is based on the icon of the same name from Game of Thrones. The puzzle turns on seven axes, which are limited to 180 degree turns. The puzzle has been designed so that the sides of the star points are colored, making their placement part of the solving challenge.
Other Items Needed:
Dye: If you want the puzzle to be black, you can save money by dyeing the pieces yourself with a nylon dye such as RIT or Dylon. Or Shapeways can dye the parts for you at an additional cost.
Stickers: Template available in the instructions forum. If you want professionally cut stickers, I recommend Oliver’s Stickers. Use a hair dryer or other heat source to get the curved stickers to conform to the curved surfaces.
Screws & Springs: The puzzle snaps together, so no screws or springs are required.
Degree of Difficulty:
Assembly: Easy snap-together assembly.
Solving: Moderately difficult to solve.
Playability:
Star of The Seven turns easily, and the mechanism is stable.
Have fun!
