British WWI Aerodrome

This is a fully-colored model of a World War One British aerodrome, complete with hangars and Sopwith airplanes. It is 2"x2" in size, 1/1440 scale, intended as a ground target for WWI air miniature games. Its small size furthers the illusion that it is far below the actual playing surface.  If you're using it on the gaming table and need to replace it with a flat card, you can find an overhead view at this link.

Since the colors in Shapeways' sandstone material are not water-resistant, it is recommended to seal the model with a matte spray-on fixative such as the ones used to protect inkjet photos.

Note: if you need more precision in the target's location, one of the plane's cockpits is in the exact center of the aerodrome.
