8''/20cm Baltoro Glacier and K2, Sandstone

This model of the Baltoro Glacier in the Karakoram region contains not only the second-tallest mountain in the world (K2, at 8611m), but four more from the top 20: Broad Peak (8051m), Gasherbrum I (8080m), II (8034m), and the monolithic Gasherbrum IV (7925m) which towers over the head of the Baltoro. All of this stark and extreme beauty exists in a mere 900 square km of remote northern Pakistan on the border with China. It is truly an alpinists paradise. TinyMtn models are most affordable in the "Sandstone" and "White Strong and Flexible" materials. This model is in "Sandstone," which is a glued gypsum material. When you receive the model it will be ready for display, though it may smell funny and need some time to air out. "Sandstone" models are much more brittle than "White Strong and Flexible" models, but feel more like light stone. Do not soak it in water, though you can safely seal it with Polycrylic or a similar water-based clear spray sealant. Read more about this popular material here.
