Spanish built copy of the Heinkel He 111 that resulted from an agreement signed in 1940 between Heinkel and CASA to produce 200 copies of the He 111 H-16 in Seville. Due to the pressures of WW2 progress was slow and the first Spanish built aircraft did not fly until 1945. After the end of WW2 the original German engines were replaced with a number of alternative including the Rolls Royce Merlins that this model is equipped with. The Merlin equipped version was used in the classic Battle of Britain film. The transport version of this aircraft remained in use until the early 1970s.
On a detail level virtually everything has changed between this aircraft and the He 111B, all I was able to re-use between the two models were the guns and tail wheel.
The speherical depression under the model is for mounting it on a 6mm BB.
