The G-580-K is the grandchild of the C57-D. A ring of on board cannon ports around the Base of the Dome protects the ship from assault from "the others". Functioning as both "Coast Guard to the earth systems, interstellar exploration is in the mission profile of this vessel.
The future real vehicle will use the superconducting Propulsion units comprising the central H F Gw Drive( a more efficient EM Drive with ultraconductor technology free of cryogenic support). Other supporting em drive units in multiple circular arrays will help the ship easily attain superluminal velocities while the existential accellerating field (EAF) keeps the ship and company in a "NORMAL" environment while traveling above light speed. The EAF also acts to deflect space debris away from the path of the ship.
