The Soviet Navy did have a planned carrier beyond the Kuznetsov-class CV. The 85000 tons Ulyanovsk-class carrier is a nuclear powered aircraft carrier that was significantly larger than the Kuznetsov. The ship still followed the aircraft-carrying-cruiser design of the Soviet Navy with which the Shipwreck missiles and a large bulk of AA weaponaries were retained.
However, as the USSR was disolved before it was completed, the 20% built ship was left sitting in the docks of Ukraine, and was eventually scrapped.
Due to a lack of detailed information about the ship, a number of artistic licenses were taken.
