Designed for the
Shapeways 3D Print Flex-Contest, this item comes in two parts - a bangle "case" and a jewellery display. They are printed together but are detachable.
The bangle has an internal diameter of 65mm to fit small wrists like mine, and features a flower shape with four "petals" and a central "style" with "stigma" stopper on the end. The petals have circular loops on the end to squeeze the "stigma" through, holding the flower closed.
The large criss-cross patterned stand or jewellery display is built with hooked earrings in mind, but can potentially also be used to hold cufflinks, and possibly bangles, bracelets and necklaces.
It may not be suitable for heavy jewellery, but has not yet been tested.
The idea is that when not in use, the display can be squished up small enough to fit into the closed flower on the bangle.
For use in the home and also out at craft fairs and car boot sales.
