Hydraulic Bumper (4)

This N Scale model represents a modern hydraulic bumper used in American train stations such as Chicago's Union Station. The bumper portion rests on the rails and the box rests between the rails. This model is best suited for track that has had the ties removed between the rails, such as Kato's double viaduct track. This piece is very fragile and will NOT stop your runaway train without breaking. The signal head has a channel for a .50mm strand of optic fiber to be pushed through and routed out the bottom of the box. Be careful, since the walls in that area are almost paper-thin. Though designed for Kato Unitrack, the bumper portion can handle the rails from Code 55 to Code 80 track, including Peco, Atlas, Bachman and Micro-Engineering. This item is modeled in semi-transparent plastic and requires painting. Overall length: 35mm. Other versions are available with multiple quantities at a discounted price.
