Scale: 1/350

Recommended for:

This accurately sized and highly detailed model represents the upper section of either the fore or aft funnels of British battlecruiser HMS Hood. The lower sections are available separately due to the extraordinarily large size of the whole funnel CAD file.  An upper and a lower section are required to build one funnel.

Trumpeter's 1/350 scale Hood kit's funnels are differently sized: the aft funnel is noticeably shorter fore-aft. Hood's real funnels were the same size.

Features:
  • scaled from drawings by John Roberts based on official Admiralty plans in the possession of the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, England.
  • rivet detail, properly located from careful study of photos of the actual ship
  • funnel split at the top of the lower funnel reinforcing strap so that when the two parts are assembled, the seam will be invisible
