The Avorio-Prassone balloon was developed in Italy during WWI but, due to its outstanding design and stability, was adopted elsewhere, including for Britain's Barrage Balloons. On this 1/288 model, a conical mounting hole is provided on the bottom with reinforcement. Material drainage holes are present on the bottom fin (in front of the main air scoop) to keep this hollow model's cost at a minimum. Polished WSF is the recommended material...the surface will be much smoother without loss of detail.
