BR/LMS 12 ton Pallet Van body, no roof - 4mm scale (1:76)

BR pallet van conversion of the LMS 12 ton box van. There were three of these D2177 conversions from LMS vans originally built on lot 927, described in RJ Essery's "An Illustrated History of LMS Wagons Vol1" page 179. They make a very unusual 4mm scale model - see photographs attached and in the book for the livery.

Roof is not supplied to keep printing costs down. Builder will need to provide a brass or plastic roof and four torpedo vents. Builder will need to create a flat floor of 1mm plastic or brass, solebars and then supply suitable running gear which is easily obtained from Parkside, ABS Models and other suppliers. Correct buffer stocks are included but buffer heads will need to be sources (Slaters or similar).

This model is available in FUD,  FED and  gray/black professional plastic but purchasers should be aware that I have only tried printing in FUD (with very good results) and not the other newer materials.
