A09 N, Nn3 link and pin couplers, cast iron x48

48 N scale drawheads for link and pin couplers. Larger than the A08 couplers, so large for Nn3. This style was made of cast iron, most common after 1860. Shown in photo with our Allen trucks part T82.

Body mount using #00 screw or glue in same location as a MicroTrains or similar coupler. A shim may be required for some models. Extend from car end about 3.4mm.

Though they can't accomodate real links, they can be made to operate using a U- or wishbone-shaped wire, preferably flat, connected through the pin holes (0.6mm/.024" diameter). Pin holes will accomodate .016" wire.
Because of their small size and fine detail, Frosted Ultra Detail is the preferred material. Clean with soapy water or alcohol before painting with acrylics or enamel.
