When the rebellion first began the desperate need for starfighters led sympathizers within the Incom corporation to secretly make available the T-19 conversion. Taking the extremely common T-15 ( the early version of the T-16 popular in the outer rim territories with joyriders, canyon runners and Womp rat hunters ) that the rebels were using as a pilot trainer and elongating the fuselage to fit a more powerful Strom and Farren drive unit, replacing the side hatches with armour plating and equipping it with twin blaster cannon as well as fitting folding lower wings for carrier operations This fighter along with the Z-95 Headhunter saw much action in the early years but was soon phased out with the introduction of the X and Y series fighters. While thoroughly outdated this little ship is still common among pirates and smaller system defence squadrons owing to its affordability and ease of maintenance with many of the parts interchangeable with the T series atmospheric vehicles.
