Ganymede is Jupiter’s largest moon and the largest moon in the Solar system. It is also the only moon known to have a magnetosphere. Ganymede is the seventh moon of Jupiter and the third of the Galilean moons.
Ganymede is named after the divine hero of Greek mythology. Ganymede was the son of Tros of Dardania and Callirrhoe, a Naiad. Ganymede was abducted by Zeus to serve as a cupbearer on Olympus.
This pendant pays tribute to this moon and the mythical figure after which it is named.
