N Scale N&W SD45 High Hood

New updated file in honor of the new FXD material! This is a drop in replacement for the cab and short hood on Kato SD40s and SD45s. Simply remove the low hood portion of the body, discard the cab, and replace with this piece. Holes are provided for all "18 grab irons and sunshades. In this revised version of the kit, the number boards and headlights are open!. The glass from the Kato cab can be re-installed in the new cab. Because of the recessed area for the hand brake, the frame will need to be milled to allow the hood to drop into place. It isn't a difficult job, and could easily be accomplished with a file or Dremel tool. The fireman side wall on this model features a brake lever as per Norfolk and Western SD40/45/40-s, and Southern SD40s and some Southern SD40-2s, but its always a good idea to reference your prototype photos!
