Product Description
Rotatable children's merry-go-round for a kids playground diorama or model train layout, in HO scale (1:87).
Available as part of the Kid's Playground, HO Scale set. If you need a large number (10+) of just this item, please "contact designer" at the top of this page.
Upper part of the model has a hub that snaps into a springy slot on the base, and allows the merry-go-around to rotate. For motorization, the axis has a 1 mm cup, into which a corresponding brass or steel 1 mm diameter rod or shaft can be inserted and glued. This shaft can then be rotated by a motor under the layout. Underneath the base, 3 breakaway pins of 5 mm length each are provided, for ease of mounting onto your layout. If those pins are not needed, they can be easily snapped off.
All "metal" parts are rounded, to be totally child-safe.
The model needs a single step of assembly: Simply place the base pin-downward, and snap the upper part downward into place, sliding the central hub into the middle portion of the base. The hub has a groove to prevent it sliding out if jostled. The model also requires painting.
