Triple Helix Bracelet (63 mm)

A bracelet composed of 82 tetrahedra connected in a curving triple helix, a TetraHelix or Boerdijk–Coxeter helix. The thick edges mark a helical path which circles the bracelet three times.

This could be a model for some exotic triple-stranded alien DNA. Alternatively, it would make a terrifying (one-sided!) roller-coaster ride.

The opening in the bracelet has a diameter of 63 mm or 2.48". This ring is remarkably rigid when made from "strong and flexible plastic". Perhaps not surprising, given that all the struts form many triangles. Take the rigidity into account when sizing, the opening will not flex at all.
