Tincalconite Simulation Ring

Paying homage to natural crystal growths, these are a continuation of my current body of 3d work: simulations of naturally occurring minerals and growths. Following the conclusion of my collection Unnatural Growth (2012) which featured resin-cast crystals set in fine silver, Digital Growth (2013) was born the epitome of artificial process. This ring features a simulation of the fantastic growth TINCALCONITE which reminds me of little geometric tombstombs overlapping one another chaotically. Yep..
