Tatami Earrings

Found in traditional Japanese homes, tatami mat floors are typically made of straw. The arrangement of these rectangular mats follow a precise aspect ratio of 2:1. These earrings are inspired by traditional tatami patterns, constructed using a mathematical algorithm. The earrings are gently curved, each tile at a slightly different angle; and they shimmer under even low light.
