The Class B coach family was developed in the early 60's to modernize the Danish passenger carriage fleet as well as provide cars to be coupled on some of the modern international trains of the time. It became a very successful design and spawned a number of variations, first the Class B, (the model you are looking at now), which was the original and most popular (all second class car), Class A (a first class version) Class AB (a combined first and second class version) and the Class BD was a variation with a cargo compartment for luggage. These cars could be seen on Danish rails to the mid 90's when most were replaced by multiple units. Some still drive in Sweden and many were sold to Iran after they were withdrawn. This is a late version with a single door in the gangway.
