About this Product

A Tie Clip based in the Gyroid surface.
Commissioned to combine with my Gyroid Cufflinks.

The Gyroid surface has the following properties:
  1. It is periodic in all three axes [Triply Periodic].
  2. It is a minimal surface, which means it has a minimum area for it's boundary perimeter. Just like a soap bubble.
  3. It is non-trivial, unlike a plane or a sphere (which are also minimal surfaces). (Pff!! totally evident)
  4. It splits the space into two, completely identical labyrinths.
