Tesla Tower Replica

This is my second model of Tesla's Wardenclyffe Tower.

My first attempt is smaller and has less detail. This model is more geometrically correct. However, it is difficult to know the exact geometry of the crown. Old photos of it do not fully define it.

The original Wardenclyffe Tower was 187 feet tall. This model is 187 millimeters tall. That means every millimeter represents one foot.

Update Mar 9, 2014: Shapeways requested an update to this model because they could only print it reliably 50% of the time. An additional 0.2 mm was added to the thickness of most elements. It should now be printable in all of the materials that it is available in.

Update Mar 26, 2014: Although the model passed the initial design checks for detail plastic, Shapeways says, for that material, it will break during post processing . So, detail plastic is no longer a print option. However, frosted detail appears to still be an option.
