S Scale Baggage Cart Kit Two Pack

These models were based on photos of a baggage cart kindly provided by the Halifax and Southwestern Rail Museum, https://www.hswmuseum.ednet.ns.ca/Home.html, and were designed in S Scale by special request. The ends were not present on the original and were based on typical REA ends.

I got a test print of the model, but the desk was warped. I tried to flex it and broke it (you can see the line across the middle- I don't think it will show if I ever get it painted), then I glued my fingers together fixing it with ACC and a little support on the bottom. It was an interesting morning. Customer Service at Shapeways tells me the warp was a printer calibration error and if it arrives like that they will reprint and replace it. As this test print had some other design issues that I fixed, I did not ask for a replacement (plus I model HO so I would have no where to use it). As you can see in the photo of a production model, the deck is not warped.

But, as you can see, it is still a nice model. I made the handle as a separate piece so you can choose what angle you want it at. Consider is a craftsman kit, and handle with care.

The upgrades include two extra wheels, because you can never have too many wheels, and thicker axles.

These models come unpainted and may be attached by sprues that need to be cut with a high quality sprue cutter. They have to be cleaned before painting. I use a 20 minute acetone soak, but you should read all the warnings and make your own decisions. If figures are shown in the pictures they are for scale only and are not included.
