A Venus surface albedo & relief globe, hidden under an external cloud layer.
50mm Version
70mm Version
90mm Version
The outer shell represents Venus's opaque atmosphere as seen through a telescope with the naked eye.
Whilst the inner globe, represents Venus's surface albedo, as mapped from orbit with radar in 1990.
The inner globe also features exaggerated 3d surface relief detail based on the Magellan elevation data.
Note: Keep in mind that the 50mm version reffers to the diameter of the outter shell (which in turn has a thickness of about 2mm) and the inner globe is quite small. I have kept it around because it was the first version I tested this object with, but like most objects, I concider "70mm" to have the best detail/price ratio.
