Lacosamide (formerly known as erlosamide, harkeroside, SPM 927, or ADD 234037) is a medication discovered by Dr. Harold Kohn and Dr. Shridhar Andurkar while at the University of Houston and developed by Union Chimique Belge (UCB) for the adjunctive treatment of partial-onset seizures and diabetic neuropathic pain marketed under the trade name Vimpat.
