**IMPORTANT** - Due to unexpected issues with Shapeways Dyeing process, this model cannot be ordered in any colour accept for WHITE STRONG AND FLEXIBLE. I have dyed this puzzle black without any issues so I'm not entirely sure why Shapeways can't. They are saying one of the pieces floats and will not submerge. I found this too with one piece, but I just put that piece under other pieces and it wasn't a problem. So I'm sorry, but if you order the DIY version, you have to dye it yourself, or you can order it from me assembled, dyed and stickered for an extra fee. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The Hell’s Cuboid is 1 of 2 puzzles in a set. The counter part is the Heaven’s Cuboid, also available on my Shapeways Shop. The concept of these puzzles were thought of by Dan Fast (CrazyBadCuber), and were designed by the brilliant BenPuzzles, who is also a Shapeways Shop owner. The collaboration between the two have resulted in twisty puzzles like none other. This puzzle can be bought singly or with an attractive collectors item stand (shown with the puzzle in the picture), the stand is linked below.
The Hell’s Cuboid is a 3x3x4 cuboid that has been shape modified into a ghost cube. On a ghost cube, the puzzle’s axis is tilted on a diagonal, and then each of the layers have been off set from each other. In this state, you have to turn the layers out of sync with their outer appearance in order to make another turn on another axis. This results in a very challenging puzzle as each piece of the puzzle is different from the next, and because the entire puzzle’s stickers are the same colour, this puzzle is then solved by trial and error trying to match up shapes instead of colours. This puzzle and it’s counter part, the Heaven’s Cuboid are the first of their kind, combing cuboid with ghost properties.
Assembly of this puzzle is very difficult. Because each piece is different from each other, you have to assemble this just like you solve it, by matching up piece shapes. If you are having a hard time assembling this puzzle, you can use my YouTube linked below. It is also advisable that when assembling this puzzle you also lubricate it. The best I’ve found for Shapeways materials is a silicone oil. A link to this is also below. If you don’t want to assemble the puzzle yourself and would like me to send you an assembled, and stickered copy, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I can do this for an additional cost. If you would like a stand, please let me know this as well.
If you would like to purchase this puzzle as a DIY kit from shapeways, you will need 6 screws, size M3x10mm. You will also need to buy stickers from Olivér’s sticker shop. The link is below.
