Product Description
Flower Gears is a planetary gear mesh with 25 small gears with five teeth, and one large annulus gear with 35 teeth. This is a proof of concept, veryfying that such a mesh will actually turn. A notable difference with regular planetary gears is the turning direction. With planetary gears, the constellation of planets turns in the same direction as the sun gear. However, with Flower Gears, the constellation of planets turns in the opposite direction of the sun gear.
The model is marked as "not for sale" as the set of gears does not turn as planned, which you can see in the video.
