My recommendation is to prime with an acrylic surface primer like Tamiya Fine Grey, the paint the yellow using a spray can or airbrush. A fine brush can be used to pick out the detail parts, for windows, you can use clear styrene or Microscale Micro-Clear as i did to make the window panes.
