The name Multidodecahedron dates back to Sep 20, 2009 and these 2 posts on Twistypuzzles. There I had struggled with the proper nomenclature to use for the issue of solving the cubies not seen on the surface of the NxNxN Rubik's like puzzles. Jared suggested using the name "multicube" and I liked the terminology well enough that I applied it to my idea if solving the pieces inside other geometries and thus the idea of the Multidodecahedron was born in the very next post. That same day I started this thread where I detailed the concept of the Multidodecahedron. This was back before we had a puzzle called a Master Pentultimate as I called it the Hybrid Starminx-Pentultimate in the animation I made for that thread. Back in the first post of the thread where I stated "...if you had a physical Pentultimate built in this fashion you might be able to drill a few holes that would allow you to see the hidden pieces and if they were stickered you might have this puzzle." I must admit that when I first stated that I had no real expectation that I'd see a physical working Multidodecahedron any time soon, or that when I did, the solution to its creation would be much closer to my description then I ever expected. All the credit goes to Tom for making this a reality.
This design is totally Tom's. I get no percentage of the sales of this puzzle or anything for placing this ad here. I've simply placed this ad here as I'm proud of my contribution and I believe this is a great puzzle.
