About this Product

A Sudanese Möbius,
one of the more elegant mathematical surfaces, finished with an elongated cellular pattern.
At 17cm tall, it will draw your attention from across the room.
Because this extended version of the original möbius band has only one edge and one side.

The model was created using a custom build tool set which utilizes Voxels:
The surface is first created by drawing a stereographic projection of the underlying shape from 4-space directly into 3d voxel space.
Then a pattern is applied by running a charged particle simulation, in this case using triplets of particles, which self-distributes the triplets evenly across the surface. Afterwards, again in voxel-space, the cellular pattern is carved out using the triplets as cell centers.
