You know those parts that plastic covers that
keep falling off your rocker panels?
You see
Saab 900 (1994–1998) and
9-3 (1998–2003) models all the time running with these missing. Replacement parts hard to find (and
expensive when you do find them). These are easy (and a lot less expensive--which they should be, since they are just pieces of plastic). This is a
front pair, and replaces these part numbers:
5124458 and
5124466.
Also available as a full set of 4 (driver side and passenger side, front and rear)
This pair should fit nearly exactly and can be made in several colors. The material is strong, flexible, and quite comparable to the original plastic parts. The colors referred to as 'polished' are less rough than unpolished, but please do not expect a glossy finish. In automotive terms, this finish would be considered
matte or
satin.
You can paint to match your car; I'd recommend priming and sanding first, or a few healthy coats of paint... Of course, it might look visually interesting mismatched, but that's up to you.
