MBT-70 / Kampfpanzer 70 1/285 6mm

The MBT-70 was a 1960s German-U.S. joint project to develop a new main battle tank. With its newly developed hydropneumatic suspension, the entire crew in the large turret, the 152 mm Shilieagh gun/launcher and many more innovations the costs rising extemely. In 1969 the Germans withdrew from the Project, because all this new technic becomes too expensive, 2 years later the Americans made the same decision. A lot of the new technic was adapted later for the US M1 and German Leopard 2 MBT´s. Set of 4.

Der Kampfpanzer 70 wurde in den 60er Jahre durch die USA und BR Deutschland gemeinsam entwickelt. Mit der hydropneumatischen Federung, der kompletten Besatzung im Turm, dem 152 Shilleagh Kombi-Geschütz / Raketenwerfer und vielen weiteren Innovationen, stiegen die Kosten immens an. Im Jahre 1969 zog sich die Bundesrepublik aus dem Programm zurück, 2 Jahre später folgten die Amerikaner. Vieles der neu entwickelten Techniken wurden später für den M1 und Leopard 2 genutzt. 4er Satz.
