RX1 / RX1R / RX1R II Rectangular Hood

 

 

 

This is a sleek, rugged, bayonet mount hood for the RX1/RX1R/RX1R II cameras, designed from the outset to provide optimal performance in the most minimal package possible. Screw-in hoods for the RX1 are cheaply available, but neither aesthetically or functionally tailored to the camera. Existing bayonet-mount hoods are moderately-to-very expensive, and even then are not necessarily a perfect fit for the body of the RX1.


This hood addresses those issues with a form that is tightly integrated into the body and a rectangular opening that hugs the light path hitting the sensor of the camera - ensuring as much extraneous light as possible is blocked from the lens. Its outer diameter sits just below the ridges of the focus ring, making manual focusing with the camera even more tactile and intuitive. Internally, its bayonet mount is designed to accommodate standard 49mm filters, screwed into the lens itself.
