Does your iPad Mini overheat when you use it with the DJI Go App to fly your Inspire 1 or Phantom 3 quadcopter? This little helper may be for you. It is a fan manifold that distributes the air flow from a small USB powered fan onto the entire back of the iPad, keeping it cool enough that you can fly on even the hottest, sunniest days. 

Please note that you'll need to purchase and install the 40mm 5-volt fan separately. You can find a suitable type on Digikey (this model should work fine.) Additionally, you'll need two of each of the adapter components (separate Shapeways products) for connecting to the iPad and the DJI controller:

• DJI Controller Adapter (you need two of these)
• iPad Brace Adapter (you also need two of these.)

To power the fan you should tap into the 5V wires in the USB cable from the controller to the iPad. I suggest you use a JST power disconnect. Be careful to leave the data wires (white and green) shielded when you splice in the fan power tap.
