Camera Hotshoe for Tripod Mount

Mount slave flashes and other camera hotshoe mount devices on a tripod using 1/4-20 threads. Requires gluing in a 1/4-20 nut, available at any hardware store. Standard hotshoe design, fits Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax, etc. Not compatible with Sony Alpha mounts.  Tested on Canon.

Plastic version should *only* be used in the vertical position with the weight balanced on the mount.

Metal version is highly recommended and can be used at any angle with most regular and slave hotshoe flashes. Depending on the device mounted, a piece of tape may be needed in the nut recess to prevent electrical contact.
