Desimir Cross 1

The 'Desimir Cross 1' is a reproduction of a design my grandfather Desimir hand crafted in aluminum many years ago for our family in the early to mid 70's. In addition to creating the original aluminum cross, he made many others at larger scales for our local churches. Naming the cross after him was a very easy decision. The first element of his name 'Desi' is said to be derived from Proto-Slavic desiti, which can mean "to find, to seek, to encounter" as well as "to happen, to occur". The second element of this name is derived from Slavic mir which means "peace". Since this cross and it's meaning are so special to our family, we wanted to share it with you. This 3D print offers the same details, proportions, and scale as the original and was meticulously crafted using the same dimensions my grandfather defined. Since this version was created using 3D software I was able to make everything more symmetrical which I felt helped to further sell the intent of the original. The cross is a solid print which will help to give it weight and make it more durable. Because it's scale is so ideal (standing at 3 inches high) it can be placed anywhere in your home or taken with you on your travels (I keep my grandfather's original on my nightstand.)
