About this Product

Coming Soon ---------- An Eaton & Gilbert 14 window day coach of 1845-50. This car is modeled after one used by the New Jersey Railroad and Transportation Company (later Pennsylvania RR). It was likely turned in for trade to the Jackson & Sharp Car Company and is shown in a photograph taken there circa 1871 (see photo above). It is basically the same design as the sample car sent to the Wurttemburg Railway (model R06wi) but for an additional window and some detail differences. The early swing motion trucks are of a wooden pattern with india rubber springs instead of the all iron ones used under the Wurttemburg car. Requires 33" wheelsets with 13.7mm (5.40") width axles (MTL standard length), and brass wire or Republic Locomotive Works platform railing set p/n 2009 for the railings.
Measures a scale 8'8"w by 44'2"l overall. See R05wi for version with separate inserts for the windows.
