Studded Shoelace Guard/Cover

I wanted to create a menswear accesory and decided to focus on footwear to create an unusual accessory. I decided to create a lace guard ( a shoe accessory that conceals the laces on a shoe, sometimes called a "shroud" ) some notable uses of lace guards are the Air Jordan 16 through 20, which each featured a different lace guard, which created a sleek and premium looking shoe. More recently lace guards have been featured on Maison Martin Margiela, Raf Simons and Patrick Mohr shoes. In creating my Lace guard I was inspired by the pyramid texture pattern which is currently trending in footwear fashion such as the Nike Free Orbit II SP, Nike Lunar Terra Arktos, Philippe Model Studded Trainers and the recently released Kyrie 1's with a pyramid patterned heal counter. This Lace Guard measures 74 mm by 57 mm and is secured to the shoe by passing the laces through loops on the underside of the guard. Designed to fit a 5 to 6 lace hole sneaker, measure shoe with ruler to ensure coverage, should fit most shoes size 8 to 12. Having measured a variety of shoes and sizes, most fit within this range.
