The Cavalier Class Light Torpedo Frigate is a recent addition to the Tarrainian Star Fleet to replace the heavy losses of the larger Thundecrack-B Torpedo Cruiser in the war against the Herosine Empire.

The Thundercrack-B as the Tarrainian's primary Torpedo vessels, became a priority target for Herosine fire, and despite significant PD protection, losses were considerable.

The Cavalier carries three torpedo tubes, all with fore and rear firearcs, unlike the Thundercrack's single heavier forward tube. While a single Cavalier has only half the firepower of a Thundercrack-B, it is nearly four times smaller and more manouverable, making it harder for the Herosines to concentrate their attacks on a single target.

The Cavalier's size precludes it from carrying any additional weapons aside fom six PD lasers. It is heavily shielded for a vessel of its size, having shield generators equal to half that of the much larger and lightly shielded Thundercrack-B.
