Diamond Delight Puzzle

Geometry:
The Diamond Delight puzzle uses the same pentagonal dipyramid geometry as my Fracture-10 puzzle. Also like the Fracture-10, the Diamond Delight turns on five axes at the vertices around the equator of the shape. However, Diamond Delight uses deeply curved slices, resulting in a non-bandaged geometry. This makes the Diamond Delight puzzle much easier to solve than Fracture-10, and creates the beautiful curved patterns on each face.

Other Items Needed:
Dye: If you want the puzzle to be black, you can save money by dyeing the pieces yourself with a nylon dye such as RIT or Dylon. Or Shapeways can dye the parts for you at an additional cost.
Stickers: Template available in the instructions forum. If you want professionally cut stickers, I recommend Oliver’s Stickers.
Screws & Springs: The puzzle snaps together, so no screws or springs are needed.

Degree of Difficulty:
Assembly: Moderately easy assembly.
Solving: Very easy to solve.

Playability:
Diamond Delight has a robust mechanism that does not pop apart, and turns easily.
