Product Description
Dengue Virus is a mosquito-borne RNA virus that causes dengue fever. Currently, there is no human vaccine. Many factors contribute to the hardships of developing a vaccine. There are 5 different serotypes of Dengue, this model is of Dengue Virus 2. It has been found that antibodies specific to one serotype, may actually interfere with the immune system when exposed to a different serotype, thereby helping the new virus infect its host. Dengue Fever causes fever, headache, muscle and joint pains and a skin rash similar to measles.
