Product Description
Highly detailed N-Scale (1:160) outhouse with commode and working hinged door for your model railroad layout.
Ramshackle outhouse constructed of extremely fine detail scale lumber, warped with age. Notice also the broken step, giving a highly realistic sense of decrepitude to the building.
The roof is modeled as tarpaulin, with natural looking organic flowing curves.
The door is designed to snap into an inbuilt pair of roller hinges, and can then be opened and closed by using a servo motor to rotate the lever provided beneath the outhouse.
Note that as designed, the door sits loose in a specially designed pair of slots at floor and ceiling, slightly inside the doorway. The door needs to be carefully pulled forward till the hinge rod snaps into place in the provided roller hinges. This is intentional, so that a firm grip can be obtained for the door's mechanical movement, while avoiding the door bonding into the body of the model during manufacture.
The outhouse contains a commode with flush tank. The commode base has a 1 mm hole coming out underneath the building, for conveniently animating any figures placed on the throne using piano wire.
The surface detail of the item will impress any viewer, even more so if painted carefully with a dry brush and a suitable rust / wood color.
Recommended materials: Frosted Detail, Frosted Ultra Detail, or White Strong & Flexible.
