Hoist Xbow

The Generations Hoist is a great mold but I just don't like his gun having the stripes on it. So, I was going to paint it solid black but, I want him to be true to the IDW color scheme which has the stripes on his hook. Since I couldn't have the hook and the gun both be accurate, I decided I'd have to make him another gun. I was scanning the Spotlight: Hoist comic to see how I wanted the gun to look when I saw him and Sunstreaker carrying crossbows. The crossbow looked pretty bad-ass so I decided that was what my Hoist needed. So here it is.

This crossbow is based on the ones found in the comic but since there were only a couple scenes that showed it and since it was a little different in each one, I came up with some of the details myself. I have successfully tested this model in WSF Polished as shown in photos (Hoist was in the paint booth so Trailcutter stood in for him). BTW... a later scene in the comic has Hoist loading 3 arrows in his bow so I created a "Hoist Triple Xbow" as well. It's in my store too if you like that one better. I created the arrow as a separate piece to make painting easier. After painting, just slide the arrow in the hole under the scope and press it down in the clip at the front of the bow.
