Bulkhead Flatcar TTJX TSH7RC - HO Scale

This is a model of the very common 62ft IL Bulkhead Flatcar built by Thrall in the late 1970s and subsequently cut down in the late 1990s Bunks have been fitted for Rebar, this car is based on TTJX 81867, and features the edge of floor retaining system. The modeler will need to provide the following parts to complete: Atlas Trainman Bulkhead Flatcar - this is for the underframe casting, screws and trucks. Moloco Freight Car Appliance Kit, CA-0302 - Brake gear, and Brake Wheel housing Detail Associates Stirrup Step - SS 6417 Tichy 18" Straight and Drop Grab Irons .012" Wire for Grab Irons, I suggest Tichy Phosphere Bronze. Plano - Morton Cross Platform Northeastern lumber to represent the linings on the ends, bunks and stanchions. 4x2 and 12x12. check with photos of the prototype as these lining pieces are usually not in a very good shape, many parts being missing. I decided that these were best simulated with real wood. Coupler pockets are provided on the underside attached to the back of the draft gear box.
