The
Tupolev Tu-95 (NATO name: Bear) is a large strategic bomber and missile platform. Powered by four turboprop engines with contra-rotating propellers, it is the only prop-driven strategic bomber still in service. Over 500 were produced, and variants included the Tu-114 (a commercial version which also holds the record for the world's fastest propeller driven aircraft), the Tu-119 (equipped with a nuclear reactor), and the modernized Tu-95MS.
