About this Product

North Staffordshire Railway Brake Van conversion for ballast trains, orig built c mid 1870s to early 1900s. Model based on photo of no 216 and 10 ton Brake Van drawing of 1888. THE MODEL SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS IS PRINTED IN FROSTED ULTRA DETAIL (FUD). It is also available in White Strong & Flexible (WSF). Instructions: Remove any flash with fine scraper & file. Rub roof on flat fine sanding sheet to remove ridges. Add tube in centre of roof as chimney, etched door handles, wire handrails. Photo of no 216 shows right hand door sealed up, prob orig had short handrails between doors. Drill holes at dimples. Lamp irons could be made from FB strip. Floor designed for MJT 00/EM/S4 W-iron units at 9’ 7” wheelbase. Fit grease axleboxes, round base wagon buffers (not incl). Livery: NSR = probably goods brown (suggest use GWR Indian Red). Letters white.
